CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:
As a group, students worked together to create the classroom expectations for Ms. Martin's Literacy classroom. First, students identified the purposes of expectations in the classroom. Then, students compiled a list of all expectations that would be necessary to satisfy those purposes within this Literacy classroom. After, students grouped the compiled expectations by intertwining similar expectations. As a result, students produced a list of six classroom expectations.
1. Respect all people.
2. Respect yourself.
3. Respect all property and materials.
4. Talk at appropriate times with appropriate volume and language.
5. Be seated and ready at the start of class.
6. Obey all school rules.
CLASSROOM GOALS:
School is an environment that fosters academic development and achievement. In addition, school is also an environment that should support and encourage personal growth. Therefore, Ms. Martin's Literacy classroom has four personal growth goals that we work toward with each and every classroom lesson, activity, and experience.
1. Bring a positive attitude.
2. Think and make wise choices.
3. Follow directions correctly the first time.
4. Be the best version of yourself.
CLASSROOM MOTTO: 1 + 1 = 3
Ms. Martin believes that teachers, students, and parents/guardians work together on a team to achieve our academic and personal goals. I tell my students that when they give everything they have and I give everything I have, we are able to produce something far greater than what we started with!
